The hair Shofar switches prohibitions between objects, Hair is said to hold female sexuality and when a women gets married she traditionally covers it. The tuft of hair coming out of the orifice of the shofar replaces the sound that normally comes out of the shofar; Kol Isha refers to prohibition against the woman’s voice. The female hair replaces the sound that welcomes in the New Year beginning the ten days of awe and introspection.
